How do I save a video to Sift?

Open any video on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, tap the Share button, and select Sift from the share sheet. Sift will process the video in the background and create a summary for you.

What platforms does Sift support?

Sift currently supports Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, and YouTube videos. More platforms are coming soon.

Is Sift free?

Yes! Sift is free to use. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the core functionality will always remain free.

How do I delete a saved video?

Open the video entry in Sift and swipe left or tap the delete button. The entry will be permanently removed from our servers.

How do I search my saved videos?

Use the search bar at the top of the app. You can search by keyword, topic, or even specific phrases mentioned in videos. Sift searches across all your summaries and transcriptions.

Does Sift store my videos?

No. Sift only stores the text-based summary, transcription, and thumbnail. The original video content is never stored on our servers.

How do I delete all my data?

You can delete individual entries from within the app. To request deletion of all data associated with your device, email us at siftapp@proton.me with your request.

The summary doesn't seem accurate. What should I do?

Summaries are generated by AI and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. If you notice an issue, you can always refer back to the original video via the saved link.
